2The Mawlid is a joyful event during which Muslims gather to thank Allah for sending Prophet Muhammad, peace on him. The Muslims commemorate this event repeatedly every year on the 12th of Rabee` al’Awwal, which is the day when the Prophet was born.

Young children from various culturally and linguistically diverse communities participate each year in the Mawlid Concert.
Culturally and linguistically diverse communities participate each year in the Mawlid Concert from different countries around the world. Participating communities include Turkish, Malaysian, Indonesian, Bosnia, Pakistani, Sudanese and Iraqi.
The ICPA Chanting Band participates in celebrating the Mawlid along with special guests every year.
The Muslim Community Radio is a multicultural and multilingual Islamic radio station. It broadcasts on 92.1FM to the Sydney community in general and incorporates elements that target the Muslim community of Sydney. 2MFM currently broadcasts year-round covering all Islamic events.
